Melissa Porembiak MA, LPC, NCC
Melissa graduated Oakland University’s Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program in 2021. She has 5.5 years of experience in ABA therapy treating adults with TBIs and children with autism. Melissa strives to work alongside clients, and understand them in all aspects of their lives, to help achieve their goals. Melissa primarily works with children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, ADHD, autism, and developmental delays. Melissa believes that each client should receive an individualized approach to therapy, and she will work as a team with each client to develop personalized goals that lead to a healthier, more positive lifestyle. Melissa enjoys using techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients adjust maladaptive thoughts and behaviors and find ways to work through their challenges. Most important to Melissa is building a positive, trusting, nonjudgmental relationship with her
clients, allowing clients to feel safe in therapy. Melissa will assist her clients as they walk the path towards healing and healthy change.
