Kait Sedorchuk, Graduate Clinical Intern

Oakland University

I am currently a graduate student at Oakland University and I strive to meet my clients wherever they are in their lives, helping them achieve their goals and find out new things about themselves. As a counseling intern, I have experience working with college students and other adults, as well as with issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and self-worth. Throughout my time here, I hope to gain experience working with a wide variety of clients as we work together in a supportive environment.

I tend to use a mix of Person-Centered, Goal-Oriented, and Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) approaches. However, I think what works best is engaging with the client and seeing what each individual needs, as treatment is not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Overall, I hope to connect with people and allow them the space they need in order to process and heal, however that looks for them.
